CVS Haul!

Hi guys! So yesterday I went to CVS to pick up some..... MAKEUP! Haha and nail polish remover :) I had to get my old polish off ASAP! Anyways I bought just a few items, and I am going back later today. We will see what I come out with, haha. The items I bought were a few revlon items since it was buy 1 get 1, and Wet n Wild lipsticks. I got 2 W&W lipsticks and then the new Photo Ready powder, a ColorStay Lip glaze, and a Lusterous Lipgloss. Here are my review on these products:)

So I am actually going to do a video review on the PhotoReady, so be sure to check that out on my YouTube channel. As far as the other things go, here are my thoughts. Starting with the Wet n Wild lipsticks, these little things are only $.99! I thought NO WAY! Lipstick can tend to be one of the cheaper items, but for less then a dollar that is crazy! Overall I am VERY impressed by these items! Although the staying power is a little weak (Like 1-2 hrs.) the pigmentation is great! They have really good shine, and a pretty wide variety of colors. I knew these had to be SOMEWHAT good because they stayed in their permanent line, and were not replaced by W&W new Color i-Con line. Although I think Wet n Wild's Lip Laquer lipsticks are better (These are about $2.99) these are really good for a buck! I would reccomend some of Wet n Wild's more pricier lipsticks more, but these are something that should not disappoint!

For the Revlon ColorStay Mineral Lip Glaze and the Lusterous lipgloss, these are amazing as well. The Lip Glaze has very good staying power (Like 3-5 hrs.) the pigmentation is pretty good too. They have nice color's, however, some of the colors can be super bright and they don't have a huge array by any means. I was VERY impressed by the Lusterous lipgloss. These also had nice staying power, and were a little cheaper (Price isn't a big deal to me, but I still love a bargain!) I was really shocked! They were not as sparkly as I expected (WHICH IS GOOOOD!) and gave a huge amount of shine. They were very nicely pigmented, and I found that even though they had some bright colors, there were very wearable shades as well. I got this one in Nude, and let me tell you... THE BEST NUDE LIPGLOSS! I have been on a MAJOR hunt for the nude lip. My top pick out of EVERYTHING I HAVE TRIED... Well, that will be another blog :) Until then, I love you all!! XOXO Candie

Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette

Hi guys! So its the start of Spring break, and I decided to do a couple blogs throughout the vacation. Starting with my famous Coastal Scents 88 warm palette. This is a pretty new addition to the other famous 88 palettes (That I own as well) but this one has a whole new color spectrum. Here I have shown pictures of it open, closed, and just some random swatches of the shadows.

This palette retails for $24.95 on www.coastalscents.com, and it a little more pricey then their other palettes. I am not to sure why it is about $5 more then the 88 matte, or 88 shimmer, but I guess that it is possibly because of the varying textures and formulas in the shadows. In this palette there is a wide variety of finishes and formulas, all of which are super pigmented just like their other palettes.

The reason I did not do a video review on this is because it is a lot like their other palettes, except with different colors. All the palettes are extremely pigmented and last you A LONG TIME. Even though they are about dime size, a little goes a LONG way! I find that I use these palettes all the time, and I really don't think I could survive in the beauty world without them! There are many runoffs and other company's selling like products, however I find that some are more expensive and aren't as great. (For example BH Cosmetics and different Ebay company's) Its also nice to be able to buy them from the source. Coastal Scents offers a wide variety of products, so while your their I REALLY reccomend buying more things! (FTC: I am not affiliated with any cosmetic company throughout my blog posts.)

Mainly this palette is just a bunch of neutral colors along with some smoky shades. It is a super pretty palette, with one thing to keep in mind. I remember that while I was purchasing this and waiting for it to ship I was really worried about buying other neutral colors in the sense that maybe I would get duplicates. I will be the first to say that this palette DOES NOT have every neutral color, in fact it misses a few. So if you find a neutral color you like, be sure to pick it up because you may be disappointed if it is not in this palette. (Or if there is not a good dupe) Along with dupes, there are many MAC like colors in here as well. Ones I see are Trax, Wedge, Naked Lunch, Vanilla, Brulee, Kid, Shroom, Orb, Embark, and a few other skin tone shades. Overall I really would day to buy this palette, and check out there original 88 palette as well!

Wet 'n' Wild Pride Palette!

Hey guys! So here is my first actual beauty post for this blog, and it is on the new Wet 'n' Wild Lust palettes. So these palettes retail for $4.99. First, Wet 'n' Wild is a budget makeup company (Like ELF, or NYC) that is probably my favorite as far as budget company's go, next to elf. They have amazing quality, especially for the price! This is surely a company that should not be skipped over for being poor quality! I included swatches so you guys could see the amazing pigmentation. I barely had to TOUCH the shadow to get it! They are some the of the riches eyeshadows I have worked with, and trust me I have swatches and used A LOT of shadows!

Pretty much these palettes follow one color "spectrum" then have matte versions of the shadows on the left side, then shimmer versions of the color on the right side. Because of the shimmer and matte the color payoff is different with each shadow, and even though it looks like there are two of the same shade of green in the palette, just matte and shimmer, they are actually a little different. The shimmery one is more of a dark mermaid green, while the matte version is a turquoise like green.

I own two of these palettes. One in Pride (This one) and one in Lust, which I did a video tutorial on here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqpbm0iyzRg

I love both of these palettes dearly, along with Wet 'n' Wild's new color i-con collection as a whole. Now the reason I did not do a tutorial on this look is plainly because many people on YouTube did a similiar look, since really this look is the one that makes sense the most. You apply the green all over the lid, a blue in the crease, and white as a highlight. Pretty simple, and beautiful!

Overall Rating: 4 Star Palette
Easy Blendibility
Excellent color pay off
Good colors (Although they are pretty generic just aqau green, midnight blue and white)
Great Packaging
Little goes a LONG way
Will last long
Has good shelf life
Great for everyday use, or for a more dramatic look.

XOXO Candie

Welcome To My Blog!

HEY GUYS! So most of you that are directed here probably know me from youtube! If not, go sub to me! Its free, and you might learn a lot! www.youtube.com/user/thecandiechick.

So I want to start by saying that this is my blog that is tied in with my YouTube channel. However, I find that I can not make a video about EVERYTHING so I decided to make a blog! Many Guru's do it, so I figured with 350+ subs (OMIGOSH THATS AMAZING!) it was my turn to jump into the blogging business. I will be blogging about 5 times a week or less. Also know that many of my posts will be related to my beauty channel, BUT THERE WILL BE THINGS DIFFERENT! Here you might find some reviews on several items and such, so be sure to check back here AND FOLLOW!! Its easy to sign up if you do not have a google account (I am guessing that most of you do though!) So lets hope we can get SOME followers on here! This is totally experimental, so I am crossing my fingers that it kicks off!

One more thing, please do not hate on this blog! Just like on my channel, if you hate your comment will be removed and you will be banned. Its upsetting to me, and I don't want my viewers exposed to that! Thanks so much :)

So anyways I am going to head off now, but be sure to check back tomorrow (Or later tonight) for an actual beauty post!

Love you all,
